To get to our house, you’ll go through the most famous Beaujolais vineyards, Morgon, Fleurie, Chiroubles, Saint Amour… Scenic routes, beautiful colors, charming villages, no doubt Beaujolais has a lot to offer!

Since our house is situated in the hills of Beaujolais, the outdoors are a big part of its charms: breathtaking views, and if you are so inclined : hikes, trails, cycling… The options are numerous.

For hot summer days, there is a beautiful lake about 15 minutes drive from the house where you can easily swim or just enjoy a walk.

Here are some of our most attractive sites :

Vineyard in Solutre
The Solutré rock

A geological, historical and splendid place. It is the ideal site for a nice walk (about 1 hour), in the heart of the vineyard. The view from the top is magnificent. For enthusiasts, there is a museum about prehistory which explains life of men in the region 30,000 years ago.

Cormatin's castle

Situated in Southern Burgundy, this castle was built in 1606. You can visit the sumptuous apartments of 1627-1628 and discover its gardens with the atmosphere of a 16th century park.

Belleville's market

Every Tuesday, come and meet the producers of the region. This market is an authentic rural market, where you can find everything : vegetables, fruits, cheeses, meat, honey, even souvenirs.

 "Hameau Duboeuf"

A large theme park around the vineyards and wine. A travel through 2000 years of History in Beaujolais.

A tasting is included at the end of the visit.

Around 1100, the Cluniac order reigned over 10,000 monks and 1,500 monasteries throughout Europe. At the time, its church was the largest in the world. Unfortunately, some parts are destroyed today but the remains are stunning.

Pizay's Castle

Built in medieval times, this castle is now a luxurious hotel and a winery. In addition to the visit of the French gardens, it offers an oeno-sensorial experience to learn about tasting and to discover the wines of the castle.

The Saint Rigaud Mount

The highest point of the Rhône (1009m) area. The site is an essential stopover for all nature lovers. Climb up the observation tower to get the 360° panoramic view on the surrounding mountains.
