Bonjour

I'm Marion, your French teacher

I’m a native Frenchwoman in her thirties.

I grew up in the Beaujolais region. When I was 18, I started sudying in Lyon then in Guadalajara (Mexico) and Coimbra (Portugal) so I was bitten by the travel bug and discovered the beauty of languages.

I studied Teaching French as a Foreign Language and I worked in the Alliance Française of Dar-Es Salaam (Tanzania) and of Jersey (Channel Island) for 3 years.

After about 10 years being away, traveling and gaining experience abroad, in 2016, I decided to become a French Immersion Teacher back in my home region and I’ve been loving it since then.

In 2021, Mélie joined me in this wonderful adventure.

My teaching approach

I specialize in teaching adults of all levels and ages.

I believe speaking and listening are the main objectives of most students so I focus on improving oral skills. I’m a firm believer in the use of language in context as the best way to achieve this. That's exactly what immersion allows and why I love being an immersion teacher.

To me, feeling confident is a key to progress in learning a foreign language so it’s one of the other goals of the week. To do so, I will encourage you to speak as much French as you can, during the class, the meals and all the activities of the week.

Last but not least, I believe we’re better at what we do when we’re enjoying ourselves, so I’ll tailor your lessons to your needs but also to your interests, adding games and making it as fun as possible. In the matter of learning, sky is the limit !

"She is extremely good at teaching you what you need to know to progress, without making it feel like a class"

Harry - Australia

"Whether we were sitting around the fireplace or walking in the fields, the three hours of daily conversation flew by and, after a couple of days, I could hear my self improving. Incroyable!"

Bill - USA

"It could not have been better with Marion’s kind support, encouragement, and relaxed and fun approach to learning French."

Diane & Paul - USA
